The 66 Books of the Bible Contain the Word of God, the mind of God, The state of man, The way of salvation, The doom of sinners and the happiness of believers. Its Doctrines are Holy, Its precepts are binding, Its histories are true and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, Believe it to be safe and practice it to be Holy. It contains light to direct you, Food to support you and comfort to cheer you. It is the travelers map, The pilgrims staff, The pilots compass, The soldiers sword, Heaven opened and the gates of hell disclosed. Christ is its Grand object, Our good its design and the Glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, Rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. Thank you for visiting the web site of Mount Zion Lake Elsinore Foursquare West. We know you will never be the same. Mount Zion was the lower eastern hill of Jerusalem known as ophel (2Ch 27:3;33:14). Later, when Mount Moriah became the temple hill and the ark of the covenant was brought from the city of David to the temple, the name was transferred (1Ki 8:1;2Ch 5:2). This became the Zion-the most significant of all sacred places to the prophets and others of those centuries. Of it Isaiah said: Then the Lord will create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glowing fire by night; over all the canopy (Isa 4:5). And Jeremiah said: There will be a day when watchmen cry out on the hills of Ephraim, "Come, let us go up to Zion, to the Lord our God" (Jer 31:6). And of Mount Zion, Zechariah says: This is what the Lord Almighty says: "I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her." This is what the Lord says: "I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain" (Zech 8:2-3). The book of Jubilees also referred to the hill of Moriah, where the temple stood, as Mount Zion (Jub 4:26; 18:13). In certain biblical writings, Zion is the equivalent of Jerusalem, the religous capital of the people of God. (Isa 28:16; Ro 9:33).  4448-T.C.
